The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a singularity that impacts human civilization. Among them, human-computer communication technology in AI—natural language processing technology such as chatbots and machine translation—is gradually integrating into our work and life. However, humans have no clue how to use and ethically apply these technologies. Research has found that AI-generated text may reproduce gender bias in human society. This bias is deeply rooted in human civilization, and when AI learns and analyzes from massive human data, it replicates and reproduces these biases. This not only reveals the deeply embedded gender discrimination in human society but also sounds the alarm for AI development. This exhibition aims to explore this issue. The "Present Zone" in the exhibition will explain natural language technology and its gender bias in a simple and easy-to-understand way, while the "Future Zone" will use speculative design to predict the impact of AI on gender concepts in 20 years based on current trends and data. This exhibition is not only a speculation about the future but also a reflection on the past and present. AI simply accepts data and information from human history without discrimination. However, because gender bias has been deeply embedded in human civilization for a long time, AI, after being fed with a massive amount of data from human society, analyzes and integrates it in a way that surpasses human capabilities, only to reproduce and replicate the gender bias of real humans in the AI-generated text, revealing the hidden gender bias in human society and sounding the alarm for how to regulate the development of AI.
